Esteemed Speakers and Guests:
In this time of great innovation, AdChina and China Business News (CNB) are honored that you were able to attend the first annual China Digital Media Summit (CDMS). This was the first time that such a senior-level group came together in China, under the auspices of the Internet Society of China and the China Advertising Association, to discuss in-depth and with candor the opportunities and challenges facing the digital media industry in China and abroad. We are grateful to the more than 300 attendees from around the world as well as to the sponsors, co-organizers and media partners who helped make this event a resounding success.
The Summit presented the latest thinking on some of the fastest growing areas of the digital economy including social media and online video as well as the perspectives of advertisers and other ecosystem players. In his keynote speech, Sir Martin Sorrell (Global CEO of WPP Group) articulated the scale and rapid emergence of the Chinese consumer and their changing digital habits. We also heard insights from Jonathan Nelson (Global CEO of Omnicom Digital), Quentin George (Chief Digital Officer of IPG Mediabrands), Jonathan Miller (Chief Digital Officer of News Corp.), Charles Chao (President and CEO of SINA Corporation), William Ding (CEO of NetEase.com), Gary Wang (Founder/CEO of Tudou), Mike Galgon (Co-founder of aQuantive), David Rosenblatt (Former CEO of DoubleClick) among others. The Summit also attracted media coverage from the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Financial Times, China Business Network and more than 100 additional media groups. As of today, there are more than 300 circulated articled about CDMS.
As co-hosts, AdChina and CBN have many people to thank who helped make the 2010 China Digital Media Summit the standard by which future events will be judged. We are particularly grateful to our speakers, many of whom braved long distances, and our sponsors, who made this event possible. Our goal is to continue to evolve this Summit into the foremost dialog between the highest levels of international and Chinese digital media leadership.
We look forward to welcoming you back for CDMS 2011. See you next summer in Beijing.
Sincerely,
